This client sought to replace their existing home on a beautiful Clifton property with a more spacious two-story residence, including a basement. The new Fairfax Station, VA home spans over 8,000 square feet and features high 10-foot ceilings on all levels, along with a grand entryway with a spiral staircase. The large size of the home, combined with the steeply sloping site, posed a challenge in breaking up the facade into an appropriately scaled design. This was further complicated by the need to work around the existing infinity pool, the only element of the original property to remain. The design was a unique collaboration, with the client leading the design team, resulting in a stunning final product that perfectly integrates with the existing pool and patio. The project was beautifully constructed by Chad Hackman and Arlington Construction Management.

Work was completed while associated with Williams Design Group.
