The Deepwood Pool House, a beloved amenity for the Deepwood Homeowner Association in Reston, VA, was originally built in 1989. It has been a vital part of our community, providing essential recreational amenities for our residents. The poolhouse will be undergoing a significant transformation, all with the aim of creating a more inviting and modern space for our residents to enjoy. This was made possible by the expertise of the Architectural Support Group LLC (ASG), who played a pivotal role in orchestrating a comprehensive renovation project, focusing on enhancing both the functionality and aesthetics of the poolhouse. The project involves a partial demolition of the existing structure, with the exception of the section housing the mechanical equipment. The new design proposes a reorganization of the layout, following the width of the existing structure and expanding towards the south from the remaining structure, where the covered outdoor seating area is located. The building now features distinct restrooms, showers for both women and men, and a separate ADA restroom and shower. The guard room also serves as a registration area. The structure is made of wood-framed construction, with Glulam posts and beams. The roof extends the seating area, while the exposed rafters on the east side allow sunlight to enter, creating a pleasant partial shade throughout the day.
